Wednesday: Chapter 5 test, worksheet on inequalities
Thursday: pg. 337-338 22-67 even
Friday: work on AM
Students should continue working toward meeting their AM goal of 25 objectives. They should work on their practice or test nightly. AM Objectives due Jan 17th. Please remember AM final grade counts as a test grade.
Reminders: Students must show all steps in solving algebraic equations. My policy is “ NO work shown No credit given” It is important that students understand the process of solving problems, not to simply push the calculator buttons and get an answer.
________Your child has been a delight to teach and has had an excellent week.
________Your child has been very talkative
________Your child was disrespectful to a classmate/or teacher
_______Your child did not follow teacher directions and interrupted teacher
instructions. ___________________________________________
________Your child was not prepared for class on one or more occasions this week.
____did not complete homework
_____left materials in his/her locker
_____did not have a pencil/paper/checking pen
________Your child needs to bring his/her agenda to class and use it properly.
Parents please note: If a student has more than 3 infractions for behavior problems they will be assigned lunch detention. After 2 lunch detentions it will be imperative that we schedule a parent/ teacher conference. If the student has 5 or more infractions in one week the ll constitute an office referral. Consistent discipline problems will result in an “N” or “U” on conduct for the 9-week grading period.

I realize the above check system seems very elementary; however, because I am experiencing the above problems with a multitude of students it is important that I have parent support. I hope the students will realize that we will be working together to correct the problems in the classroom. Thank you again for your help.
